I finished The Yellow Birds, a beautiful, but harrowing story about soldiers in Iraq, read Regeneration, a novel by Pat Barker about historical and fictional characters during WWI, and I am in the midst of Doris Kearns Goodwin's Pulitzer winning non-fiction work Team of Rivals, which covers Lincoln's presidency and his amazing cabinet members as they navigate through the perils of the Civil War. Hey, there seems to be a theme here! I will also be enjoying some lighter reading soon too!
So, what are you reading for pleasure? Post it and let me and your classmates know what you would recommend and what you would suggest we pass over.
